How to repurpose blog posts with AI into a week of social content.

You publish one blog post. Your social channels hear about it once, then go silent. Here's the fix: an AI that reads every new post and drafts a full week's worth of distinct social content — different hooks, different angles, no reruns.

What you get
  • ✓5 LinkedIn drafts + 3 Twitter threads from every post
  • ✓Different angles — hook, insight, personal, list, data
  • ✓All drafts land in Notion for review before posting
  • ✓Runs on any RSS-enabled blog (Substack, Ghost, WordPress, etc.)

Why one blog post can carry a week of content

The distribution problem for content marketing hasn't been that people don't publish enough — it's that most publishers post their new piece once, on the day it goes up, and then let it die. The blog post that took three days to write gets one LinkedIn share and two tweets before the algorithm moves on. Six months later the same piece is still valuable, and nobody sees it.

The pattern that works is unglamorous: one article, then 5-7 distinct social posts pulling different angles from it, then reference in future issues, then reworked into a talk track for sales, then bundled into a longer piece a quarter later. Every serious content operator does some version of this. Most teams don't, because it's admin work — reading your own post, extracting the hooks, reformatting for LinkedIn versus X versus a newsletter blurb.

AI collapses the admin. A language model reading a fresh post can produce 5 LinkedIn variants (different hooks: story-led, data-led, contrarian, list, question) and 3 Twitter threads in seconds. You review the drafts, tweak the ones that need it, schedule them across the next two weeks. One 3-hour writing session buys you a week of distribution.

The catch — and this is where most 'AI content' workflows fail — is that generic AI-generated social copy is worse than skipping the post entirely. The value is in matching the source article's voice, which means the workflow has to read your existing posts, not just generate on autopilot. The templates in Pilotran do this by keeping recent post examples in the prompt as tone anchors.

How it works

  1. 1

    1. Grab your blog's RSS feed URL

Most blogs expose one. Substack: append /feed. WordPress: /feed. Ghost: /rss. Copy the URL.

  2. 2

    2. Activate the Blog to Social template

Paste the feed URL. Set your voice (a sentence). Pick where drafts land in Notion.

  3. 3

    3. Post from the drafts

New post triggers a run. 5+3 drafts land in Notion. You schedule from a social tool of your choice.

What 5 LinkedIn drafts look like

Sample: new blog post 'Why we killed our A/B test rig'. Claude produced 5 variants targeting different angles from the same source.

5 LinkedIn drafts → Notion database (Blog to Social) 1. HOOK — Curiosity "We killed our A/B testing rig last month. Traffic to the marketing site is up 40% since. Here's what we replaced it with — and why running an experimentation program on a 20K/mo blog was slowing everything down." 2. HOOK — Contrarian "Unpopular opinion: most marketing teams shouldn't run A/B tests. Statistical significance takes traffic you don't have. What you learn is either not learnable at your scale or not actionable. We stopped six months ago. Full write-up in the comments." 3. HOOK — Numbered list "Three reasons your A/B testing program is probably wasting time: 1. You don't have enough traffic to hit significance in under 6 weeks per test 2. Your test velocity is limited by design/eng, not by ideation 3. Every 'lift' below 20% is inside your seasonality noise We killed ours. Here's what we do instead." 4. HOOK — Story "Six months ago I ran the numbers on our A/B testing program. In 12 months we'd shipped 43 tests. 3 had statistically significant lifts. 40 were inconclusive. The 3 winners had a combined revenue impact of $18K/year. Meanwhile we'd paid ~$50K in tooling and design/eng time to run the program. We killed it. Here's what we replaced it with." 5. HOOK — Direct question "Are your A/B tests actually reaching statistical significance? Or are you calling winners on 40 conversions? We audited 12 months of our program. What we found — and how we replaced the whole thing — in this week's post."
Good fit
  • ✓You publish blog posts consistently (weekly or every-other-week)
  • ✓Your social presence underperforms your writing quality
  • ✓You want to post from your own articles more than once
  • ✓You have a distinctive voice you want AI to match, not replace
Bad fit
  • ×You publish 1-2 posts a year — this workflow needs a steady input
  • ×Your posts are hyper-technical or code-heavy — variants tend to blur into each other
  • ×You want fully autonomous posting — this template ships drafts, not scheduled posts
  • ×You already have a content team doing repurposing manually and getting good results — the workflow won't add much

Notes from the build

Voice anchors, not from scratch

The template reads 5 of your recent posts as tone anchors. Without them, generated variants sound like every other AI social post. With them, they sound like you.

5 hooks, not 5 rewrites

The variants have to actually be different — story-led vs data-led vs contrarian — or your feed reads like a broken record. The prompt enforces distinct angles.

Threads keep the writing density

Twitter threads that reduce a 2,000-word post to 5 tweets lose the substance. The template ships 8-12 tweet threads that preserve the actual argument.

Notion, not autoposting

Drafts land in Notion. You schedule from Buffer / Hootsuite / Publer. LinkedIn's API doesn't allow third-party posting from personal profiles anyway — Notion is the honest destination.

Frequently asked

Does it post automatically?+

No. Every draft lands in Notion. You review and post. This preserves your voice and stops copy-paste mistakes.

Can I customize the templates?+

Yes — the prompt is editable. Change the mix (fewer LinkedIn, more Twitter), the voice, or the framing.
